Message	that's right. I mention it because I think your problem is related to AFR. You mention that it starts hard when cold... but does start. so while it is running take advantage of the situation to check all issues related to AFR - and especially look for a boost/vacuum leak. Unmetered air could be your problem, or a temperature sensor telling the ecu that the afr should be adjusted for a hot start.
